Senior Program Manager
Ashley Schmidt, MSPH is Senior Program Manager at macro eyes. Ashley is a seasoned global health program manager with nearly a decade of experience working internationally. Most recently she managed child health and family planning programs under USAID's Maternal and Child Survival Program in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Myanmar, India and Rwanda.
Ashley has always been passionate about improving the health and well being of others and is a big believer in the power of technology to improve health outcomes. Her past experiences include supporting the roll out of a Health Network Quality Improvement System for MalariaCare; consulting for the Pan American Health Organization on non-communicable diseases and building an eLearning education systems; and managing neglected tropical disease programs for the Sabin Vaccine Institute in Haiti.
German born and traveling often, Ashley considers herself a global citizen. She holds a Masters of Science in Public Health from Tulane's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She was a Global Health Fellow at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy in the summer of 2010 and kick-started her global health career as an intern at the World Health Organization.
